Always read the instructions very well before making and sending items. These charities sometimes must provide only very specific items to be accepted. Do not take a chance your hard work and thoughtful donation will be rejected.

Always keep in mind the recipient of your gift. What is their weather like? Are they able to use a washing machine to wash their clothes or just soap and water? What is their culture like? Do they have religious objections to certain colors or decorations?

Remember these charities also need money to cover needed supplies and shipping costs. Go to Ideas to Raise Money for possible fundraisers.
